HOMS is a comprehensive office management software product developed and maintained by pbs. This software is used by pbs clients to track payer and patient accounts, process and collect insurance claims, schedule appointments, integrate medical records software, apply payments electronically, check eligibility, scan insurance cards and documents, process refunds, referrals and recalls and outsource patient statement processing. There are decades of experience and client enhancements that have gone into the HOMS design. As part of an overall solution from pbs, using HOMS ensures that a doctor's clinic will always have a strong system of collections with excellent cash flow.

HOMS is available to pbs clients through the Internet using a web browser, as a hosted application with VPN access to pbs servers, or through a distributed server located in client offices. HOMS includes a flexible and open HL-7 interface engine allowing for integration with electronic health records, clinical devices, labs and pharmacies. It is a truly open system that is exceptional for billing and collections, yet easy to integrate allowing clients to select EHR’s that best meet their unique requirements.

HOMS software is tightly integrated with the pbs data center and network of direct electronic connections.
